2018 SEMILLON Release

This is always my favorite time of the season, releasing a new wine to you, the friends who through your support allow us to do what we love: make & share wine. 

Today is a special day because we are releasing the 3rd vintage of what I believe to be one of the most special white wines in our beautiful Napa Valley, the 2018 Yount Mill Vineyard Semillon. It is the quintessential Spring Wine, with brightness, freshness, complexity and that texture we have come to adore so much from this wine. Each vintage, we have been ecstatic about but this one could go down as the best of the decade for us. The 2018 season dealt us a hand that was hard not to win with, long growing season, warm summer but not too hot, excellent conditions - the ideal vintage. As a fellow winemaker friend said, "If you don't make a great wine in 2018, you should quit!"

I don't enjoy long descriptions, but for those of you wishing to learn more about the specifics of this wine, we have a wonderful "information sheet" of sorts here. 

"Thank you" seems to be quite an insufficient phrase to express my gratitude for your support, but alas, thank you, from the bottom of my heart, from our family and from our small team that helps these wines come to be. We are here because of you!
